Shannon Godwin joined the Northampton County Economic Development team in fall 2024 and supports the Director across a number of initiatives, from grant-writing, to marketing, to workforce development. With a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Shannon has over 20 years of experience in domestic and international sales, communications, and new business development across a variety of industries. Additionally, she is currently an M.B.A. candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Also a native of Northampton County, she is excited to use the skills she’s acquired throughout her career to forge new economic partnerships for the betterment of her community. When not serving the community, she can be found buried in a good book or hanging out with her rescue kitties.
